By 2025, over 50,000 companies in Guangdong will achieve full digital transformation with new generation of information technology, and the access to cloud services will be rendered available for up to 1 million enterprises.
The above goals were mentioned in the newly issued Implementation Plan for Guangdong's Manufacturing Digital Transformation (2021-2025) on July 6. It is China's first-ever governmental plan outlining strategies and procedures of digital transformation of manufacturing industry.
Powered by digitalization, Guangdong's manufacturing industry is therefore able to reform its quality, efficiency and dynamic in pursuit of a place in the world's mid-range and high-end market.
The plan centers around 10 strategic pillar industry clusters covering electronic information, green petrochemical, automobile, as well as 10 strategic emerging industries such as semiconductor and integrated circuit, high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent robots, etc.
Also, the blueprint has further specified nine measures to facilitate the progress, including pilot programs, demonstration projects and relevant award in companies and parks, innovative financial models, strengthening network-based talent training and public services.
