A total of 62 young people from Hong Kong and Macao signed employment agreements with companies registered in Qianhai in the first quarter, an increase of 264% compared with last year.
The growth was largely contributed to a series of efforts the Qianhai Authority made to attract more talents from Hong Kong and Macao to settle in the area.
In the first quarter, the Qianhai Authority organized 75 companies to offer 564 job positions exclusively for Hong Kong and Macao youths, and launched many online career guidance activities.
Several well-established companies such as Deloitte, SF Express, Insta360 and OPPO participated in online job fairs for students from 10 Hong Kong and Macao universities and some mainland universities with a relatively large number of students from Hong Kong and Macao. The job fairs attracted more than 11,000 students, and a number of employment intentions have been reached between companies and students.
Qianhai and the world-renowned headhunter Hays also jointly released the “2022 Asia Salary Guide” online, which analyzed market insights and salary trends in 15 industries and fields to help Hong Kong and Macao students understand the overall situation of the current job market and adjust their career plans.
Focusing on the protection of labor rights and interests, social insurance, and housing provident fund that concern many international, Hong Kong and Macao talents, the Qianhai International Talent Service Center and relevant authorities held online policy interpretation activities, through which over 300 inquiries from 2,200 people were answered.
