To explore business opportunities and find an international environment for his young son, in 2018, Giuliano moved to Hong Kong. “It was a critical time,” he commented.
After the protests started in Hong Kong, Giuliano didn’t want to speak up because he thought it was China’s internal affair. However, violence made him feel that his life was being threatened and he had no more freedom of speech. And foreign interference has led some Hong Kong youngsters the wrong direction. Therefore, he chose to stand out to confront rioters in December, 2019.
Now, with the national security law and “patriots administering Hong Kong”, Giuliano is very positive about Hong Kong’s future. He said, “There will be stability and more freedom. And remember it is within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, which is going to be amazing.”
