"I'm glad that I've finally gotten the chance to come to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). We're now in Shenzhen's Qianhai Stone Park, looking out over this beautiful bridge. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the city." Miguel Roberg from the United States, who has been living in China for 12 years shared his expectation when the "Bridges" Discovery Tour kicked off on August 21.

Organized by GDToday, the tour features 15 content makers and business representatives from 14 countries, and will guide them as well as their followers to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Qingyuan, four cities of China's Guangdong province, for the tech development and rural revitalization in the GBA.

Roberg is a big fan of technology, "I like tech, filming, and making videos," he looks forward to visiting Insta360 and BYD which are respectively the Shenzhen-based visual appliance and auto companies, as well as experience Pony.ai’s autonomous cars in Guangzhou, adding "China's leading the world in AI technology now, and they're among the top competitors. It will be interesting to ride in one of these autonomous cars."

Martina Gdovinova comes from Slovakia and has lived in China for nearly 5 years. She loves Chinese culture, traveling and sharing her lifestyle on Douyin, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu and Youtube, with over 700 thousand fans on Bilibili.

This is Gdovinova's second trip to Shenzhen. She feels the development of the city is fast and developed very well. "I came to the parks. I see many tall buildings and ferris wheel behind me. It was very beautiful."

When asked about which part of the trip she is expecting most, she answered with a laugh, "the Traditional Chinese Medicine Park in Hengqin because I am very interested in TCM, and I have recently done cupping. I would like to learn more about TCM and learn how to treat some small diseases so as to help my family and friends."

Frantisek Bina loves photographing, and brought his camera along with him. Bina comes from the Czech Republic, and he has been staying in Shenzhen for the past 5 years. In his opinion, Qianhai is the newest area for development in the Shenzhen. "There was few buildings here here in the past, but it has been changed over the past 2 years, and it is becoming one of the most popular places." Bina believes the newly built area has quite stunning future because of the Qianhai Plan released last year in September as well as all the construction, and modernization.

He is expecting to the stay in Qingyuan, where there are a Thousand-year-old Yao Village and the Heishan terraces. According to him, they are two of the most famous locations in Guangdong.
