When studying for a PhD in the UK, Anthony Lu specialized in the semiconductor field. After finishing his postdoctoral research, he returned to work in Hong Kong. He came into contact with the fresh food e-commerce project by chance. He believes that the next 5-10 years will be a major opportunity for the imported aquatic products industry, so he hopes to invest in this industry.

In 2016, Anthony Lu joined the Marine Product Department of China Resources Enterprise. Now, the Marine Product Department has established a stable procurement network with 39 companies around the world and built China's first automated salmon processing center in three years.

At the beginning of 2020, Anthony Lu started to work in Foshan. He often travels to and from Foshan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong to work on any given day. The pandemic stalled his team's work for a while, but after hard work they finally returned to normal progress, and the first batch of imported salmon was successfully put on the shelves. He said that he will resume "one-day work in the Greater Bay Area" after the pandemic.

For a Hong Kong person with cross-border entrepreneurship, working in the mainland is different from Hong Kong. Anthony Lu said that Hong Kong people pay more attention to follow clear guidelines at work, while he need to be more innovative now. He hopes that more HK young people could consider working in the mainland cities and find opportunities to realize their own values. "The biggest attraction of the mainland cities of GBA is that the direction of industrial development is very diverse, which can provide us with different employment directions and new opportunities. I believe that HK young people have more opportunities when choosing a career here. "
