Both periodic tickets and ride tickets are now available on the Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Railway.
The new service aims to provide travelers on the route between Shenzhen and Xiamen in Southeast China's Fujian Province with more options and further reduce their travel costs, according to Shenzhen North Station.
Periodic tickets come in 11 types, allowing travelers to ride between 10 and 60 times within 30 days. These tickets offer six tiers of discounts, ranging from a minimum of 15% off to a maximum of 38% off.
Ride tickets include one for 10 rides over 90 days with a 5% discount and another for 20 rides over 90 days with a 10% discount.
The service is available to travelers commuting between Shenzhen North Station and Xiamen Station or Xiamen North Station. It covers various combinations, including round trips between Shenzhen North Station and Xiamen Station, Huiyang and Chaoshan stations, as well as Shanwei and Xiamen stations, the operator said.
For example, with a 30-day pass for 30 rides between Shenzhen North Station and Chaoshan Station, a second-class ticket holder can save 855 yuan compared to purchasing single-trip tickets. Meanwhile, a 30-day pass for 60 rides can save 2,599 yuan, reducing the average daily cost by nearly 40%.
The new service is particularly beneficial for residents in eastern Shenzhen. For example, a 30-day pass for 60 rides between Shenzhen North Station and Pingshan Station can save them approximately 296 yuan.
