Hengqin's first ultra-large ocean heavy-lift vessel, "Tie Jian Qi Zhong (铁建起重) 5000," has recently completed its ship registration and certification process, marking a strategic development that enhances the region's maritime capabilities.
The "Tie Jian Qi Zhong 5000" is the world's largest self-propelled full-turn crane vessel, developed by China. It is capable of performing large-scale offshore wind turbine foundation installations, offshore substation lifts, oil and gas platform installations, and other marine construction projects. The vessel's displacement reaches 110,000 tons during lifting operations, equivalent to the full-load displacement of a large aircraft carrier.
