The best viewing spots of the fireworks display for Macao’s 25th anniversary

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. The Macao Government Tourism Office is set to present the 'Fireworks Show in Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR' at 9 pm on December 25th. The spectacular event will unfold over the Macao Tower seafront.

This fireworks display, which will last approximately 15 minutes, will be centered around five major themes and showcase a magnificent array of colorful fireworks. Enhanced by laser effects, the night sky will be adorned with significant patterns such as the numbers "75" and "25", five-pointed stars, Chinese knots, concentric circles, and a glorious rainbow bridge.

The prime locations to watch this dazzling fireworks display in Zhuhai, Hengqin, and Macao are as follows:

Best viewing spots in Zhuhai:

Cross Gate Seaside:

The Cross Gate area offers a wide-open space and is close to the fireworks launching site, providing a magnificent viewing experience.

Jialin Mountain:

Standing on top of Jialin Mountain and looking towards Macao, nearly half of the Macao night view is visible, making it an ideal location to watch the Macao fireworks display. However, it is advisable not to hike up the mountain alone without a guide who is familiar with the route.

Zhuhai-Macao Night Cruise:

For those who wish to enjoy the fireworks on the water, the “Zhuhai-Macao Night Cruise” will depart from Wanzai Tourist Pier, passing through the waters where the fireworks show takes place. Passengers can also closely appreciate the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Macao coastline scenery under the night sky.

Macao has six premier viewing spots, namely: Anim'Arte NAM VAN (by the lakeside at Nam Van); the area around Avenida de Sagres (next to Mandarin Oriental, Macau); "Avenida Dr. Sun Yat Sen", between Kun lam Ecumenical Centre and Leisure Area of Kun lam Statue Waterfront; Caminho Marginal do Lago (next to YOHO Treasure Island Resorts World Hotel); Macao Science Center Promenade; Avenida do Oceano da Taipa (along the Taipa shoreline).
