On December 18, a consular corps in Guangzhou from Asian countries, including Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, joined by delegates of chambers of commerce and enterprises, embarked on an on-site visit to Nansha, Guangzhou, themed 'Exploring New Opportunities in Nansha District.'
As a way to enhance partnership between Nansha and Asian countries, the visit aims to present what Nansha has to offer in terms of trade services, industrial policy, and business environment as an international shipping logistics hub, which paves the way for the area's further integration into the 'Belt and Road' Initiative.

Nansha Automobile Port is composed of Nansha Automobile Terminal, Haijia Terminal, and Jinyang Terminal. It is the largest automobile ro-ro loading terminal cluster in China and has the first vehicle export supervision warehouse in South China, as well as a second-hand car registration service station and other supporting functions.
The trip later continued to Nansha International Logistics Center, which is divided into the South and North centers. The North center is built into an international consolidation and distribution center in the GBA, with a large warehouse of more than 290,000 square meters. The South center is the largest cold chain warehouse group in China, with a capacity of nearly 230,000 tons, and the hub provides one-stop cold chain logistics services.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, shared his thoughts on the trip in Nansha. "I witnessed advanced technology and management levels here in Nansha Port, in regard to port and logistics," he said.
He stated that ASEAN, East Asian countries, and China are geographically connected, while the global economy is undergoing deeper integration. "The demand for international shipping logistics will only continue to increase. I hope China and these countries will further enhance cooperation in the upcoming terms."
Nansha Port, one of the major logistical routes on the 'Belt and Road' Initiative in South China, now has quick access to Asia. It handles more than 160 international liner routes, including over 140 under the 'Belt and Road' Initiative, and nearly 100 routes linking to Asia. From here, international freight trains were also opened to Central Asia, which is an important pipeline for not only the GBA but also for China to connect to the Asian market.
