The newly opened Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Passage witnessed a total of approximately 52,000 vehicle trips over its first weekend.

This bridge officially began trial operations on December 11, reducing travel time between Zhuhai's Jinwan District and Taishan County-level City in Jiangmen from over one hour to just 30 minutes.

Traffic data revealed a clear trend: westbound traffic (from Zhuhai to Jiangmen) significantly exceeded eastbound traffic, with flow patterns showing distinct "tidal" peaks in the morning and afternoon.

On both weekend days, the first major traffic peak began at 10:00 AM and remained steady until lunchtime at 12:00 PM, with westbound traffic more than double that of eastbound. The highest westbound flow occurred between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

During lunchtime, traffic dipped slightly before picking up again from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In this afternoon peak, eastbound traffic slightly exceeded westbound traffic. Notably, the single-hour highest two-way traffic flow occurred during this period, reaching 2,598 vehicles on Saturday and 2,900 vehicles on Sunday.

Among toll stations, Chixi East Toll Station recorded the highest traffic volume, handling over 16,000 vehicles over the weekend, with outbound traffic notably surpassing inbound.
