On November 29, the Longgang District government of Shenzhen and Amap Software Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation framework agreement in Longgang. The two sides will work together to build an integrated ground and air digital map and create a "Sky Amap" demonstration base, in order to promote the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy in Longgang District and the broader Shenzhen.

Longgang District is accelerating the construction of a low-altitude economy industry ecosystem demonstration zone through a series of innovative measures.

These measures include establishing integrated flight rules, improving the upstream and downstream industrial chain, strengthening new type infrastructure, and creating flight service platforms, aiming to provide solid support for Shenzhen to build a global low-altitude economy R&D headquarters center, high-end manufacturing center, full-scenario demonstration verification center, and one-stop solution supply center.

Amap, a leading provider of digital mapping and navigation services in China, stands out as one of the few companies in the industry holding top-tier certifications in electronic navigation mapping, aerial surveying, and internet map services. Leveraging its "Triple A" qualifications, Amap demonstrates technical expertise in traffic data analysis, optimized data integration, and the development of the cultural and tourism sectors.

Under the cooperation framework agreement, Longgang District and Amap Software Co., Ltd. will leverage Amap's leading technology and service capabilities in the internet and big data sectors, combined with Longgang's resource advantages in industrial ecology and technological innovation, to jointly develop the "Sky Amap" demonstration base. The goal is to establish it as a leading platform enterprise in Shenzhen's low-altitude economy.

"Sky Amap," positioned as the aerial version of Amap, aims to create an integrated ground-to-air digital map to serve the public, businesses, and government. It seeks to establish a sustainable operation closed-loop model.

"Sky Amap" is designed to provide comprehensive data, technical support, security, management tools, and operational services to core participants in the low-altitude economy. This initiative ensures flight safety, efficient use of airspace, reduced operational costs, and fosters the development of related application scenarios, industrial ecosystems, and infrastructure.
