On November 26, GDToday, the international communication center of Nanfang Media Group, signed cooperation agreements with six Macao media outlets, including Teledifusão de Macau (TDM), Macau Lotus TV, Ponto Final, Plataforma, Macau Post Daily, and Macau Business.

According to the agreements, GDToday will carry out comprehensive editorial and other kinds of cooperation with the six media outlets, including conducting joint news interviews and content production in Chinese, Portuguese, and English, collaborating on platforms, and jointly planning and organizing various online and offline international events.

The Nanfang Media Group is of great importance to international communication. In 2021, it established news bureaus in Hong Kong and Macao, with a base in Hong Kong and coverage extending to Macao. The group has continuously dispatched reporters to increase coverage of Macao and disseminate news to the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas. It has also collaborated with Macao media and received positive feedback. Currently, the group is strengthening GDToday as its flagship media for international communication and building a more effective system.

Huang Can, Editor-in-Chief of Nanfang Media Group, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Macao media for their long-term support at the signing ceremony. He indicated that Macao media have played a crucial role in promoting mutual understanding and harmonious integration between Macao and the world, serving as witnesses and promoters of Macao's multicultural coexistence. As the leading platform for international communication and the primary source for the world to learn about Guangdong, GDToday hopes to maintain close communication with Macao media in the future, aiming to continuously improve the cooperation mechanism, innovate cooperation modes, enrich cooperation forms, and jointly showcase Macao's new developments and achievements. In particular, GDToday looks forward to telling the stories of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, building a bridge for international exchanges and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Over the past three years, GDToday and Macao media have continuously conducted content exchange cooperation, enriching each other's reports. So far, nearly 1,600 articles have been recommended between GDToday and Macao media. The adopted articles cover many topics, focusing on the GBA, especially Hengqin. They cover various aspects such as policy dynamics, economic development, industrial and enterprise development trends, and cultural exchanges. The articles are diverse in form, including graphic news articles, interviews, feature articles, data posters, and short videos.

For example, GDToday released Chinese traditional, English, and Portuguese versions of "Nine Charts to 'Illustrate' the Highlights of the 'Regulations on Promoting the Development of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin,'" with the English poster being published on a prominent page of Macau Post Daily and other Macao media outlets, with a total of over one million views across various platforms. This cooperation has strengthened the understanding and exchanges between people in Guangdong and Macao and created a favorable international environment for enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese-speaking people.

Lo Song Man, Chairman of the Executive Committee of TDM; Li Zi Song, Director of the Macau Lotus Satellite TV Media Limited; Ricardo Pinto, Publisher of Ponto Final; Guilherme Rego, Executive Director of Plataforma Media; Jose Carlos Matias, Director of Macau Business and Business Intelligence magazines; and Maria Cheang, Representative of the Director of Macau Post Daily, attended the ceremony.
