The new Zhongshan Passenger Port will officially open for navigation on November 28th. It will take about 50 minutes to reach Shekou in Shenzhen, Hong Kong International Airport, and Macao Taipa Ferry Terminal, and about 65 minutes to China Hong Kong City. The first ferry will depart from the new Zhongshan Passenger Port to China Hong Kong City at 10 a.m. on the 28th.
Initially, the port will open three routes to Hong Kong International Airport, China Hong Kong City, and Shekou in Shenzhen, along with free shuttle bus services connecting the city proper and Xiaolan in Zhongshan and Xinhui in Jiangmen, respectively. A route to Taipa in Macao, as well as routes for Zhuhai island tours and water sightseeing, are also in the planning. In the future, the port will explore the integrated development of low-altitude flights, leisure tourism, and cruise economy.
In the first three days of opening for navigation, tickets for the China Hong Kong City and Shekou routes will cost only 1 yuan, while tickets for the Hong Kong International Airport route will be half price, with standard adult economy-class tickets priced at 175 yuan.
