On the morning of October 31, the third Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Fair for Trade in Services commenced in Zhuhai, marking a significant event in the region's service trade landscape.
With the theme "Service Outsourcing + New Engine of the Bay Area", the conference is co-guided by the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. The opening ceremony was attended by over 700 distinguished guests, including representatives from 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China, officials from Guangdong Province, representatives from the governments of Hong Kong and Macao, entrepreneurs, business association representatives, and overseas buyers from 28 countries and regions.
Following the previous edition's "one conference at three locations" model, the conference is held in Zhuhai as the main venue, with Hong Kong and Macao serving as satellite venues. This comprehensive platform aims to facilitate the alignment of service trade resources within the GBA and promote high-quality development in the region's service trade.
Digital Trade Achievements of Guangdong Province unveiled
During the event, Zhang Jinsong, Director-General of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, presented the achievements of the GBA Global Trade Digitalization Pilot Zone, including the cultivation of 100 leading digital trade companies, the gathering of over 300 benchmark demonstration projects, and more than 800 excellent digital transformation service providers. Digitalization has been significantly facilitated in sectors including manufacturing, customs clearance, logistics, and after-sales service.
The "e-commerce + industrial belt" development model has driven the digital transformation of traditional industries, and foreign trade transformation bases have initially formed a digital ecosystem across the entire industry chain, with a continuously optimized environment for the development of trade digitalization.
GBA Service Outsourcing Hub established
Additionally, the GBA Service Outsourcing Hub was inaugurated during the opening ceremony. The hub will leverage the GBA Fair for Trade in Services as a platform to establish an "online + offline" contract negotiation and transaction center, striving to create a professional, authentic, and public-service-oriented service outsourcing hub in the GBA.
Currently, the platform has attracted over 110 contracting companies, primarily in sectors such as cross-border e-commerce, financial services, cultural media, consumer electronics, and new energy industries.
