On September 26th, the Airport Council International (ACI) confirmed that Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport would hold the 2025 ACI World Airport Experience Summit (2025 ACI Summit) in Guangzhou from September 8th to 11th, 2025. The announcement was made at the Closing and Handover Ceremony of the 2024 ACI Summit in Atlantic City, U.S.
ACI World's Airport Experience Summit is the premier airport event dedicated to customer and employee experience, with participants including industry leaders and CEOs discussing their visions and airport experience strategy. The event attracts more than 600 senior airport executives, customer experience professionals, and related business executives.
During the event, ACI presented the 2023 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards at the summit. Baiyun International Airport won the title of "Best Airport among airports handling over 40 million passengers per year in Asia-Pacific" for the fourth consecutive year, ranking first among 338 participating airports. It also won the title of "Clearest Airport in Asia-Pacific" for the first time.
At the Summit, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport introduced the city of Guangzhou through a video titled "CAN Care All Needs," showcasing Guangzhou's unique charm as a millennium commercial hub known for its cuisine, food, and beautiful flowers. A traditional Lion Dance performance at the event also demonstrated Guangdong's local culture.
ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci commented that Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport will be an ideal host for the airport event, which is dedicated to customer and employee experience. It is a vital global network node, China's busiest airport, and a critical global center.
ACI emphasized that China's pivotal role in global aviation was highlighted by its rapidly growing network of airports and airlines, reinforcing its position as a major hub for international travel and trade. With significant investments in aviation infrastructure and a robust domestic market, China is a critical driver of innovation and growth in the global aviation industry.
