The 15th Dongguan Taiwan Famous Products Fair kicks off, deepening cross-strait development

The 15th Dongguan Taiwan Famous Products Fair 2024 kicked off on September 5 at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center, becoming the largest economic and trade exchange event between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan this year. The fair is jointly organized by the Economic Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government, the Dongguan Municipal Government, and the National Association of Taiwan Enterprises.

Since its inception in 2010, the fair has attracted nearly 3.6 million visitors and facilitated trade amounts totaling 37.25 billion yuan over its 14 editions, becoming a renowned platform for friendly exchanges across the strait and for Taiwan enterprises to expand their markets. Today, the event has emerged as a significant exhibition with cross-strait influence, playing an active role in deepening integration and development.

This year's exhibition runs from September 5 to 8, covering an area of 36,000 square meters with over 600 participating companies and more than 2,000 exhibition booths. It is expected to draw over 3,000 buyers from chain supermarkets and e-commerce platforms.

The fair features distinctive pavilions such as those for artificial intelligence and semiconductors, as well as the "Taiwan Youth Building Dreams in Dongguan" pavilion, highlighting outstanding products from Taiwan companies in fields like AI, semiconductors, intelligent manufacturing, and 3C electronics.

A special area for Taiwan souvenirs showcases exhibitors from 22 counties and cities in Taiwan. The exhibition halls for Hong Kong and Macao have been expanded, and pavilions have been set up by 25 provinces and cities, including Jiangxi, Sichuan, Hunan, Fujian's Xiamen, and Jiangsu's Kunshan. Additionally, 32 Taiwan enterprises from Dongguan are collectively showcasing their products.

During the fair, a series of exciting activities will take place, including performances of Taiwan folk culture and product promotion events. Buyers and the general public are warmly invited to attend and explore the fair.
