Shenzhen Bay Port sets a new record!

There are still a lot of people going through customs as the summer holiday approaches its conclusion. Shenzhen Bay Port, the largest road port for passengers and cargo in Asia, recorded over 157,000 passenger trips on 24th August.

Since the beginning of this year, the clearance volume of Shenzhen Bay Port has been on the rise. As of 18th August, its inspection station had checked over 24 million entries and exits and 3.03 million cross-border vehicles. On 24th August, the Shenzhen border inception station saw a total of 972,000 passenger trips throughout the day, including 534,000 arrivals and 438,000 departures. This marks the ninth time this year and the fourth during the summer season that a new high has been hit since the resumption of port clearance operations.

To ensure the orderly functioning of the port, the inspection station has introduced customs clearance measures, optimized inspection procedures, and developed a mobile police system, enhancing exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
