China Southern Airlines opens direct flight from Guangzhou to Islamabad

China Southern Airlines launched its direct flight from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Islamabad International Airport on August 25, carrying 163 passengers on flight CZ8069.

This route is operated using a Boeing 787 and is scheduled three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Flights are set to depart from Guangzhou at 15:40 (local time) and arrive in Islamabad at 19:35 local time (22:35 Beijing time). The total flight time is about six hours and 55 minutes.

In preparation for the resumption of this service, China Southern Airlines has developed a comprehensive operational plan based on the specific needs of the route. This includes conducting pre-flight training courses, efficient cooperation with Pakistani consulates and customs inspection authorities, and establishing communication channels to support passenger entry and exit verification and operational data integration.

On August 25, China Southern Airlines set up six check-in counters at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. They also enhanced passenger assistance through various means to ensure efficient check-in processes.

A passenger surnamed Zhang expressed his excitement, saying "Finally, there is a direct flight from Guangzhou to Islamabad. I travel to Pakistan every year for work, and having a non-stop flight saves me a lot of time. It's incredibly convenient."
