In front of the museum is a learning center designed in the shape of a shield machine.
Spanning two floors with a total area of about 5,200 square meters, the museum's exhibits trace the history of Chinese tunnels. The exhibition features 192 representative engineering projects, 21 artistic sculptures, 50 multimedia video interactions, and 17 engineering models, offering visitors an in-depth understanding of this remarkable journey.
Meanwhile, modern technology is extensively employed in the museum, with 5D experiences, big data platforms, and smart technologies seamlessly integrating physical exhibits with light and shadow effects.
The underground floor's special exhibition hall is one of the highlights. It is divided into sections such as the equipment manufacturing display area, construction techniques area, international tunnel area, and the special exhibition of China Railway Tunnel Group.
Notably, the equipment manufacturing display area features major equipment like the "China Railway No. 1" shield machine. Visitors can walk along pathways to experience the magnificence of these engineering marvels up close.
