The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has recently organized a delegation of entrepreneurs from Macao and Hengqin to visit Angola and Mozambique.

Representatives of the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin and three companies from Hengqin in the fields of IoT technology, new energy, and cross-border e-commerce have also been invited and will attend the 15th Meeting of Businessmen for Economic and Commercial Cooperation between the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) and China, held from 24 to 26 July in Angola.

Since 2005, the meeting has been held annually on a rotating basis in Portuguese-speaking countries. To date, it has facilitated over 5,800 participants, arranged more than 3,600 matchmaking sessions, and signed over 100 cooperation projects covering infrastructure, finance, food, agriculture, tourism, and trade.

As part of their activities, the delegation will participate in the International Fair of Luanda (FILDA), the largest and most influential comprehensive expo in Southwestern Africa.

During the visit, IPIM and the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin will co-host the "Macau-Hengqin Investment Promotion Conference 2024" in Mozambique on July 29.

These efforts aim to build bridges for China-Portugal business cooperation, leveraging new development opportunities in Macao and Hengqin and Macao's unique role as a service platform for trade between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
