Hengqin Port resumes freight vehicle clearance

The first phase of customs clearance for goods and transport vehicles at Hengqin Port resumed at 9:00 a.m. on June 30th. Relevant departments in Guangdong and Macao said they will gradually improve customs clearance arrangements at Hengqin Port based on actual needs.

With the joint one-stop lane, the average clearance time is less than 2 minutes, significantly reducing the cross-border trade costs for import and export corporations.

According to the Economic Development Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the resumption of customs clearance for freight vehicles at Hengqin Port will enhance the efficiency and convenience of cargo transportation between Macao and Hengqin, effectively reducing customs clearance costs for corporations on both sides.

Moving forward, Hengqin will continue to enhance convenience for passage and the customs clearance environment, and establish a new high-standard opening-up system integrated with Macao.
