Most intercity trains on the regular rail between Shenzhen and Guangzhou will stop at each station along the route to meet commuters’ needs under the new operation schedule that will begin Friday.
The railway operator will keep two pairs of direct trains between Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shenzhen Railway Station, a notice released by Shenzhen North Railway Station said Wednesday evening.
Passengers who want quicker trips to Guangzhou can take high-speed trains at Shenzhen North Station.
C8001, the direct train, will depart Guangzhou East Railway Station at 7:04 a.m. and arrive at Shenzhen Railway Station at 8:09 a.m. Train C8079 will depart Guangzhou at 7:23 a.m. and will arrive at Shenzhen at 8:29 a.m. Trains C8002 and C8080 will depart Shenzhen at 7:00 a.m. and 10:16 p.m., respectively, and arrive in Guangzhou at 8:04 a.m. and 11:19 p.m., respectively.
The Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway Corp. will operate 55 pairs of regular trains a day between the two cities on workdays, 61 pairs a day on weekends and 63 pairs a day during holidays.
Under the new operation schedule, Shenzhen Railway Station will operate 17 pairs of regular trains along the Ganzhou-Shenzhen rail line and 63 pairs of intercity express trains and 12 pairs of regular long-distance trains along the Guangzhou-Shenzhen rail line.
In terms of high-speed trains, Shenzhen North Railway Station will operate 364.5 pairs of trains, namely 256.5 pairs of trains that depart and terminate at the station, and 108 pairs that stop over the station.
